“Miller available so bad News for all the opponents of GT” – Twitter reacts as all South African players will be available for selection from today

IPL-bound players from South Africa had to miss the start of this IPL season owing to national commitments. The rescheduled second and third ODI between South Africa and the Netherlands took place very recently.

South Africa won the second ODI by eight wickets at Willowmoore Park, Benoni. They went on to stick to the same winning template in the third and final ODI. They won the game by a massive margin of 146 runs at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

Now that the national duty has come to a close, the IPL-bound players from South Africa will be back in the mix to feature for their respective IPL teams in the sixteenth edition of the IPL.

South African players will be available for selection from today

In what comes as good news for IPL teams in the competition, South African players will be available for selection from today onwards. Proteas players will bring their own flavour to the IPL to make the league a bit more interesting as well.

The majority of the Proteas players including the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, David Miller, Aiden Markram and others will join their respective IPL franchises. As many as nine players from South Africa will be back in action.

Sunrisers Hyderabad started their campaign with a defeat over Rajasthan Royals. Bhuvneshwar Kumar served as the interim captain in Aiden Markram’s absence. Sunrisers Hyderabad missed the services of Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen.

Delhi Capitals also lost their first game against Lucknow Super Giants. They missed the services of Anrich Nortje, and Lungi Ngidi whereas Mumbai Indians missed Tristan Stubbs.

On the other hand, the defending champions Gujarat Titans missed the services of David Miller whereas the likes of Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings missed a player each. LSG missed Quinton de Kock whereas Punjab Kings missed Kagiso Rabada.
