2 players who could replace Reece Topley for the next RCB game against KKR in IPL 2023

England international Reece Topley had a bad day at the office during the game between RCB and MI in Bengaluru on March 2, Sunday. Reece Topley sustained an unexpected injury on the field.

The England pacer who bowled pretty well during the game seemed to have dislocated his shoulder while fielding against Mumbai Indians at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The left-arm paceman got off to a terrific start by getting rid of IPL debutant Cameron Green. He bowled an absolute gem of an inswinger to dismiss the young Australian all-rounder.

Apart from his bowling, Reece Topleey was galvanic on the field too. He attempted full-blooded dives and also saved some crucial runs for his team. He was quickly taken off the field by the team’s medical team and the extent of his injury is not known yet.

However, there is no doubt that he will be missing the next game against KKR. In this article, we will now take a look at the two players who could replace the England paceman for the next game against KKR.

1. Siddharth Kaul

RCB acquired the services of Siddharth Kaul for his base price of INR 75 lakh at the IPL 2022 auction. However, he played just one game for the franchise in the last season but didn’t take any wickets.

Since Reece Topley is a doubtful starter against KKR, the RCB team management might as well turn to Siddharth Kaul to bolster the bowling attack. He has taken 58 wickets in 55 IPL appearances.

2. Sonu Yadav

Sonu Yadav is the other bowler who could replace Reece Topley in the team’s next game against Kolkata Knight Riders. RCB will take on KKR on March 7 (Thursday) at Eden Gardens.

RCB bought Sonu Yadav for his base price of INR 20 lakh at the IPL 2023 mini-auction. The 23-year-old right-arm medium-fast bowler took nine wickets in five games at an economy of 7.47.
