The latest Raw episode saw a grand surprise as Lyra Valkyria was straight into action post the draft making a gigantic save of the women’s champion, Becky Lynch after she was deserted by Liv Morgan and was surrounded and then attacked by Damage CTRL.
Lyra came like a bout of fresh rain in a parched city and brought about the forces that she is usually known for. The WWE Universe absolutely loved Lyra and will be pinning their hopes further for a massive creative for this youngster. So who is Lyra Valkyria? Well, here are the things that one needs to know about Lyra.
She was a part of the Fight Factory Pro Wrestling for a year following which she made her debut in 2015, under the ring name of Valkyrie Cain. The name Cain was inspired by the Skulduggery Pleasant book series by Derek Landy.
After fighting her way to the very top, she eventually made it to the developmental brand of WWE called NXT. Aoife Cusack started her WWE career under the ring name Aoife Valkyrie. Her first match was in NXT UK against Amale and she secured a fine win.
Two months later, she went onto defeat Isla Dawn and Nina Samuels, eventually cementing her greatness on the ones who had her eyes. Her wins kept on mounting as the next one came in the house shows, first against Aaliyah and then went onto a six-woman tag team match alongside Mia Yim and Rita Reis drubbing Jessi Kamea, MJ Jenkins and Taynara.
She eventually made the move to USA where she started appearing for house shows on NXT under the ring name of Lyra Valkyria. She made her NXT debut in USA with a win over Amari Miller. Apart from her exploits in the ring that has landed in Raw, she is also dating professional wrestler LJ Cleary.
