“If You Do It 4 Times, You’re King Kohli”- Twitter User Responds To Rajasthan Royals’ Post About Jos Buttler’s Twin Centuries

The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is underway in Mumbai and Pune, and it goes without saying that it has been the season of Jos Buttler so far. The Rajasthan Royals wicket-keeper batter has been in the form of the life, scoring three centuries in his last seven IPL knocks. Buttler has already scored two centuries in the 2022 IPL season.

His first hundred came against the Mumbai Indians, while his second ton came against the Kolkata Knight Riders last night at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Courtesy of his twin centuries, Buttler is at the top of the Orange Cap leaderboard right now.

To praise the special batting performance from Jos Buttler last night, the Rajasthan Royals posted a special tweet. It had a photo of Buttler celebrating his second century of the season. Here’s what the Royals wrote in the caption of the tweet:

“If you do it once, you’re great. If you do it twice, you’re Jos Buttler.”

While fans lauded Buttler for his extraordinary performance, some even mentioned in the comments box that if someone does it four times in one season, he is known as King.

Can Jos Buttler break the record of Virat Kohli in IPL 2022?

Virat Kohli was in stupendous touch during the 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League as he scored more than 950 runs and registered four centuries for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. It seems highly unlikely that any player would ever break Kohli’s record.

However, looking at how Buttler has played in IPL 2022, he could reach closer to that mark. Here’s what Aakash Chopra had to say about Buttler’s form after the match:

“Jos said whether it is Mumbai or Kolkata, it does not matter to him. He scored a century against Mumbai and now against Kolkata as well. He has been absolutely sensational.”
