3 countries which deserve a WWE Premium Live event in 2024

WWE has begun its march towards the proceedings of its new era dawning upon the landscape with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H at the helm of decisions. With the staggering business and records created by their last event, WrestleMania 40, WWE now looks towards the future with their next set of PLEs coming soon. Interestingly, all major WWE PLEs until SummerSlam are set to place outside their primary market, USA.

The current lineup includes events such as Backlash France, Bash at the Berlin, King and Queen of The Ring, and more. With WWE extending its PLE mark extensively outside the USA, here are 3 countries that outrightly deserve to host a PLE show for the company:

1. India

One of the most important and strategic markets for WWE’s presence is undoubtedly the rich land of India. Considered to have the second-largest fan base outside the United States, WWE has built a humungous presence in India over the years. Despite only hosting a handful of live events, but multiple WWE Superstar promotional tours in the country since the 1990s, India has seen the appearances of top stars like Triple H, Kane, Bret Hart, Seth Rollins, and most recently John Cena. With a rich history between WWE and the country of PM Modi, India is a much deserving candidate to host a major WWE PLE show.

2. UAE

WWE already has strong ties with one of the prime and progressive countries of the Middle East, Saudi Arabia being under contract with them for 10 years since 2018 to host premium live events and other extravagant experiences. Keeping in mind their relations, WWE can choose to explore other Middle Eastern places such as Dubai or Abu Dhabi, also rich in culture and sports as a potential for hosting a WWE PLE in the future.

3. China

Another top market unexplored by the WWE that is firmly ahead in terms of its technology, culture, and lineage is China. Moreover, WWE has held previous Tryouts and even recruited stars like Xia Li to their roster. Moreover, one of their former flagship stars, John Cena has also spent a lot of time in China for his filming and WWE commitments so the country could prove to be a major option for WWE to consider for hosting a PLE.
