WWE Universe was saddened to see The Eradicator Rhea Ripley vacate her WWE Women’s World Title after suffering an injury at the hands of Liv Morgan. With Mami out of the picture, WWE announced a Battle Royal for this week’s Monday Night RAW to crown a brand new champion.
Several top stars from the RAW locker room competed in the over-the-top-rope melee with the bout coming down to Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan. The action went back and forth on the apron during the final moments and culminated with Becky executing the Manhandle slam on Morgan to eliminate her from the proceedings and become the new WWE Women’s World Champion.
With The Man back on the top of the mountain, here are three reasons why WWE decided to pull the trigger on her title reign as the right decision moving forward:
1. The Biggest star on the RAW roster
With Rhea Ripley being on the sidelines, WWE experienced a major lack of star power to christen as the next champion on the RAW roster. Looking at the current crop of talent, The Man Becky Lynch’s resume, accolades, and star power transcended beyond everyone on the active roster. Therefore, WWE decided to put the belt on one of the biggest stars of the modern era was the right decision in the absence of another top star, Rhea Ripley to maintain the credibility of the championships.
2. A feud with The Man would reestablish the fan favorite, Liv Morgan
As it was evident, a large portion of the audience was behind Liv Morgan to triumph and become the new WWE Women’s World Champion. However, they were left with much disappointment that was evident all over social media. However, WWE could be planting the seeds for a bigger push to capitalize on Liv’s ongoing momentum by inserting her in a feud with Becky Lynch that would lead to their one-on-one showdown and a bigger crowing moment for Liv Morgan.
3. Exciting title matches on the horizon
The era of Becky Lynch as the WWE Women’s World Champion has opened the doors to multiple never-before-seen dream matches and feuds that would prove to be beneficial for the WWE product. The Man could battle the likes of stars like Jade Cargill, Roxanne Perez, and IYO sky who all can find themselves on the same brand as The Man after the culmination of the WWE Draft.
