It would be a top move for the West Indies. If that does not happen, the likes of Kyle Mayers, Andre Fletcher and Johnson Charles will compete for the opening slot.
Middle-Order: Nicholas Pooran (WK), Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell (C)
The West Indian middle-order will be one of the strongest in the upcoming tournament. In Pooran and Hetmyer, the West Indies have two solid left-handed batters. Shai Hope has multiple gears while Powell is the skipper and will have the finishing duties.
All-Rounders: Andre Russell, Romario Shephard and Akeal Hosein
It would be a powerful all-rounders group for the West Indies’ strongest XI for the 2024 T20 World Cup. All-rounders have always been the strength for West Indies. It will be no different this time around. All eyes will be on Andre Russell, who is in top form right now. Akeal will have the responsibility as the lead spinner.
Bowlers: Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph
Jason Holder would have been the ideal pacer for this XI. However, he has not been in great form recently. Also, Shamar Joseph is a newbie and is very exciting.
