Watch: Yusuf Pathan brings out the big guns as he prepares for the World Road Safety Series

Yusuf Pathan will be coming back to the greens after a while to represent the Indian legends in the Legends League later this year. A part of the 2007 T20I World Cup champion squad for Team India, Yusuf will be hitting his stride again in the league of the seasoned campaigners.

In a video that he posted on his Instagram, the erstwhile Baroda all-rounder was seen peppering the cherry to all corners of the park that featured a string of important cover drives and a handful of massive strikes those would have travelled at least a couple of rows back in the stands.

He posted the clip on his Insta, quoting, It feels really good to be back in the nets preparing for the legends league.”

The all-rounder showed promise in the maiden edition of the tournament as he racked up 151 runs in four matches for the Indian Maharajas. The tournament was played in January. In the Road Safety World Series, he scored an insane 139 runs and bagged 9 crucial wickets.

Pathan was the part of the national team for a while where he participated in 57 ODIs and 22 T20Is where he bagged 46 scalps and smashed 1046 runs.

The second edition of the tournament will be dedicated to India’s 75 year of independence. An exhibition match will also be played in Kolkata where the Indian legends will be taking on the rest of world.

The season will be officially kicking off on September 15th with the exhibition contest that will witness Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar taking the field for Team India again. Four teams will be contesting this extravaganza of legends across 15 games that will be hosted in 6 cities. The grand fiesta will be concluding with a blockbuster on the 22nd of October.
