“Easiest Run chase in history?”, Guinness World Records posts Tweet about India vs England game

England defeated India by 10 wickets in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. The game was marketed to be a close encounter but it ended up as a one-sided game. Following the game, there were many trolls on Team India. Here, we take a look as the Guinness World Records Twitter account posts Tweet about India vs England game.

The Guinness World Records Twitter account talks about India vs England game

India’s batting unit put up 168 runs on the board. However, seeing the way the Englishmen batted, it felt that the Indian batters could have gotten more. Anyways, the batting inning was dented by yet another lacklustre start by the openers.

169 was a tough target on a used wicket in a pressure game. However, the English openers did not have any of it. They reached 170 runs with ease, without losing any wickets. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales took just 16 overs to achieve the target. The chase was so easy that the Guinness World Records Twitter account also talked about it. Here is a look at the Tweet:

Team India might undergo drastic changes

India’s T20I approach might further change in the coming months. The next big event is the 2024 T20 World Cup in this format. The management will want to do well in that tournament. To make that happen, we could see some bold calls being taken.

India’s opening combination is a big issue. It needs to be addressed at the earliest. The likes of Prithvi Shaw could come into the picture for the same. With the likely exit of Dinesh Karthik, India will also have to search for a finisher. It appears that Sanju Samson is already in line for the role. The spin attack also needs some attention. India should either start the new era with Ravi Bishnoi or give another chance to Yuzvendra Chahal. The pace attack needs young blood and the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar could leave.
