2 changes CSK could make for their next game against LSG

Chennai Super Kings lost to Lucknow Super Giants on Friday. In a few days time, both these squads will meet again, this time at Chennai. Surely, CSK will ring in some changes to bring more stability to the playing XI. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes CSK could make for their next game against LSG.

1) Shaik Rasheed for Sameer Rizvi

Shaik Rasheed for Sameer Rizvi is one of the changes CSK could make for their next game against LSG. It would be unfair for Sameer Rizvi if he is dropped from the team. Against LSG, after CSK lost some quick wickets, Sameer was brought in as the Impact Sub. However, he could not stay at the crease for long.

It has been the case for the past few games now. Hence, CSK could bet on Shaik Rasheed, a youngster who was with the squad in the last season, as well. He is also a wicket-keeper and if he does well, CSK could have the option of retaining him for the next season.

2) Mitchell Santner for Rachin Ravindra

Rachin Ravindra has been struggling after the brilliant start he had to the tournament. He is now finding it hard to get runs in the powerplay. This is having an impact on the performance of the batting line-up.

Mitchell Santner is a quality player who is spending his time on the bench. Yes, Santner is a bowling all-rounder and may not be the ideal replacement for Rachin. However, it needs to be noted that with the ball, Santner is a bank. He could control the middle overs and this would reduce the pressure on Jadeja. CSK could instead open the batting with Ajinkya Rahane and Ruturaj Gaikwad or they could also try out a fresh option at the top of the order.
