2 Indians unsold in IPL 2024 Auctions but could make India debut soon

The IPL 2024 Auctions ended in Dubai on December 19th. While the auction happened on expected lines, there were a few surprises, as well. Some popular players went under the hammer but did not find any takers. That said, it is not all over for these players. They could make a comeback to the tournament. At the same time, these players could play for their countries soon. Yes, it could be a different format but it is still a proud moment for these players. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two Indians unsold in IPL 2024 Auctions but could make India debut soon.

1) Sarfaraz Khan

The Mumbai youngster has been knocking on the door for a while now. India will host England for a Test series early next year. It would not be a surprise if Sarfaraz Khan gets to play in this competition.

Sarfaraz is a talented middle-order Test batter. There are players such as Shreyas Iyer who have already cemented their spots in the XI. However, backups are needed because most of these players have been injury-prone. In this regard, with Ajinkya Rahane also not in the picture, Sarfaraz could get a chance in the home series.

2) Pulkit Narang

Pulkit Narang is one of the Indians unsold in IPL 2024 Auctions but could make India debut soon. It is high-time that the management starts searching for a successor to R Ashwin. It is hard to find but it is at least important to have some backups so that if there is an injury issue, these players would be ready.

Pulkit Narang is a good candidate in this regard. He is currently a part of the India A squad. If he does well, it would not be a surprise if he gets a India call-up. He is 29 years old but would still be handy if there are some issues with the availability of Ashwin.
