1) Shane Bond
Shane Bond is currently the assistant coach and also the bowling coach of Rajasthan Royals. Bond, in his coaching stints at some of the other leagues, has been very impressive.
Yes, he might have a contract with RR but if an opportunity comes his way, Bond would surely be interested in the top role. Punjab Kings does have a solid core around him the squad can be built. Hence, it will be an interesting assignment.
2) Eoin Morgan
Eoin Morgan is one of the candidates Punjab Kings must target as the next Head Coach for IPL 2025. It is surprising that Eoin Morgan is yet to kickstart his coaching career.
A skipper who relied massively on tactics, he would surely make for a good coach. If he is waiting for the right opportunity, the job at PBKS can be a good start. He has played for the franchise before and can make them win the trophy.
3) Ravi Shastri
If PBKS can pull off a move for Ravi Shastri, it would be massive for them. Most importantly, it would give an identity to the franchise and its playing style, something that has been lacking for a while now.
Shastri might not have too many complex tactics but he usually gets the job done. It is this that is needed for the franchise because it has been 10 years since they last qualified for the playoffs.
