One change India should do for the next Test despite winning the first game

India thrashed Australia by innings and 132 runs in first game.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy kick-started on a dominating note for Indian Cricket Team. It’s fair to say that the Nagpur game was the highlight of how they have performed at home over the last one decade. India thumped Australia by a massive margin of an inning and 132 and ended the game in just 3 days and take the lead of 1-0 in the series.

One change India should do for the next Test despite winning the first game

Indian team outclassed Australia in all three departments as they batted and bowled staggering well and made the opposition look clueless. It’s fair to say that they ticked almost every right box. But there are still rooms for improvement for them. The hosts would want to rectify the mistakes they did in the opening game and would want to complete another dominating win in the series. Let’s take a look at one change India should do for the next Test despite winning the first game.

Shreyas Iyer in place of Suryakumar Yadav

One change that India should do in the second game in Delhi is they should bring Shreyas Iyer into the playing XI. Iyer missed the first match due to a knee injury and as per the various media reports he is scheduled to join the team for the second Test. If he is deemed fit to play, the team should draft him straight in the XI as of late has been India’s best batter in the middle order and has often bailed his team out of trouble. His addition to the side will only bolster India’s strength. Iyer should replace Suryakumar Yadav in the side as the latter didn’t look settled in the first game and failed to get going.
