Ind Vs Pak 2021 T20 World Cup: which stadium hosts the epic match

There is no bigger rivalry than an Ind Vs Pak encounter in the game of cricket

Dubai International cricket stadium will host the iconic encounter between India and Pakistan later today in a group game of the T20 World Cup 2021. It’s easily the most anticipated encounter of the tournament, even though it’s just a group game because there is no bigger rivalry than an Ind Vs Pak encounter in the game of cricket.

An Ind Vs Pak World Cup game has never been organised in UAE before and that’s because UAE never had the hosting rights of any of the World Cups played in the past.

Dubai is probably the best out of all three international stadiums that is currently there in UAE. Recently, it organised the IPL final as well which was a blockbuster as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to win their 4th IPL title.

Dubai International Cricket Stadium has a ring of fire which is rare in cricket stadiums around the world

The special thing about Dubai International Cricket Stadium is that it has no floodlights. It has actually got thousands of LED lights surrounding the playing arena and it’s called the ring of fire. This kind of lighting arrangement is not there is any of the cricket stadiums around the world, except the New Motera Cricket Stadium recently built in Ahmedabad.

While, the ring of fire actually looks beautiful and makes for a great viewing of the playing arena on television, it creates a little bit of issue for the players in terms of catching the ball, particularly the high catches because the lights are not generally as high as they are when the floodlights operate.

As far as the pitch of Dubai International Cricket Stadium is concerned, it might be a bit two paced in the India Vs Pakistan game, but it would probably be better to bat on than it was in the yesterday’s encounter between England and West Indies.

West Indies, in their first T20 World Cup match at Dubai yesterday, got bowled out for just 55 runs and lost the match by 6 wickets against England.

I write a bit on cricket and I am more interested in technical and tactical side of the game, rather than bravado.
