“We need quality players”, Erik ten Hag drops massive update on Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United

Manchester United was extremely busy in the transfer window that landed them a string of world-class players and almost after a staggering draught of planning, the arrival of Erik ten Hag saw the wheels rolling in the right direction.

As the transfer window is almost at an end, Manchester found a rich form of signings that witnessed them landing the likes of Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, and Christian Eriksen in the first lot. However, the bigger names had to wait for a while but a defeat to Brentford ruffled up all their calculations and the management pulled off a string of big moves.

Here is what ETH had to say about the possible future of Manchester United under him

Manchester United went heavy and landed the bigger names of Casemiro, Antony and Martin Dubravka to sum up a posse of important monikers. The fans were happy particularly about the roping in of Casemiro and believe that he can be the key to Manchester’s ailing midfield.

Despite the bigger signings, there were question marks about the future of Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron wan Bissaka. With Martial being a reckoning force up front in the pre-season, ETH started believing that he can make the Frenchman work wonders while Ronaldo wanted to join a club that would be participating in the Champions League.

Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes put in everything that he could to get the Portuguese sensation a club of his own choice. However, the moves from Mendes didn’t bear any significant fruit and it seemed that Ron will have to stay at Old Trafford for the following summer.

Wan Bissaka had plans of making a move but couldn’t lure in suitors who would bolster his case. The Dutch mastermind of Manchester United concluded that Ronaldo would be not departing and Wan Bissaka would also be staying back with ETH weaving his plans around them.

Talking about the final transfer of the season, ETH quoted, “I think for this window would be the end, but when there is a great opportunity you always have to be alert at this top club.”

He also shed some light on the transfer ideas of Ronaldo and AWB, citing, “It is clear. We need quality players. You need more to cover all the games. Of course, Aaron will stay in. So this squad, we will go from September to minimum January, but we will play with this squad this season.”

He concluded by talking about winning the last two games, “I see it as a start, we have a good base. This is the minimum of what we have to bring. I was happy to see the turn and we have to keep that, to keep the spirit and winning mentality because you need it if you want to have a successful season.”
