India has been dominating Australia in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. As expected, some of the former Australian cricketers are not impressed with the performances of the team. On that note, here, we take a look as Ian Chappell makes interesting remarks about Australia in the ongoing BGT.
Australia has been poor in the ongoing BGT
India has been brilliant when it comes to home Tests. However, Australia is one squad that is capable of dismantling the Indian Team in Indian conditions. Before the series started, many had expectations that the likes of Steve Smith and Nathan Lyon would help Australia challenge the Indian Team. However, that did not happen in the first two Tests.
The first game in Nagpur was clearly India’s match. Australia did not even offer a challenge. However, in Delhi, the visitors enjoyed a few good sessions. In the end, it was the batting display that cost them. The first session of Day 3 was disastrous for them as they lost a heap of wickets for an ordinary score. Had the team held their nerve and made a decent score, the team could have definitely put India in trouble. With such a performance, a comeback is difficult for the Aussies in this series.
What a sensational display by #TeamIndia in the second test.@imjadeja, @ashwinravi99 & @akshar2026 were simply superb with their performances. And heartiest congratulations to @imVkohli on becoming the fastest to get to 25000 international runs. Well done, team! #INDvAUS

Ian Chappell makes a few comments about the Aussies
Batting has been poor by Australia in this series. Hence, Ian Chappell had a few remarks about this. Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, Ian Chappell said, “Rohit Sharma has shown batting isn’t impossible on Testing Indian pitches in this series.”
Rohit Sharma has done well with the bat in this series. While he scored a century in Nagpur, he got some quick runs in Delhi which eased the pressure. The Aussies could take a leaf out of the Indian captain’s performance and apply so that they could do better with the willow.
