1) Ben Duckett
Jos Buttler is not in the side. At least as a backup, RR must have had a foreign opener. Ben would have been ideal for the side. In the current situation, his presence would have helped the side. He is also someone who can operate in the middle order.
2) Michael Bracewell is one of the cricketers who would be useful at the Rajasthan Royals
Maheesh Theekshana is inconsistent. He does not offer batting value and is poor on the field. In the modern T20 era, a player like Bracewell would have been a better pick. The batting depth would have improved with the Kiwi in the team.
3) Steve Smith
It is surprising that RR does not have a single foreign batter apart from Shimron Hetmyer. The management was poor with the decision-making here. Especially when Sanju Samson is injured, someone like Steve Smith would have been a great asset. He could have even stepped up as the skipper. Hence, he is on this list.
