Fans on Twitter reacted after England thumped Pakistan in the first Test of the series in Rawalpindi. They took a jibe at the home side for losing the game in their own backyard and hilariously said that they can’t road like pitches can’t help them to win.

The first Test between Pakistan and England was nothing short of entertainment as it saw staggering batting display by both teams on a pitch, that was touted as a road by netizens. The visitors after winning the toss and batting first, put on a festival of runs as centuries by Zack Crawley (122), Ben Duckett (107), Ollie Pope (108) and Harry Brook (153) took England to a gigantic total of 657 runs on the board.

After that, it was Pakistan who gave a similar kind of reply with the bat as centuries by Abdullah Shafique (114) Imam-ul-Haq (121) and Babar Azam (136) took Pakistan to a total of 579 runs. England then came out all guns blazing and made quick fiery 264 runs and made a bold declaration, setting Pakistan a target of 342 runs to chase.

With the kind of pitch, it almost seemed that Pakistan would win but English bowlers ticked the right areas and kept taking wickets at regular intervals. James Anderson led the way for his side with a four-wicket haul along with Ollie Robinson, who also took four wickets to help his side win.

A superlative bowling performance saw England bundling out Pakistan for 268 runs in the second innings and winning the game by 75 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
