When we talk about female wrestlers in the circuit, Britt Baker has created quite a name for herself. Even though she switches profession and her time, she is someone whom the ring has owned and embraced. She owns a real life dental practice and she ensures that she is preparing for both her dentistry and her grappling skills.
She has been on mainstream wrestling for the last four years and yet she has racked up a flurry of accomplishments that are only dreams for others. Going through a successful character change, Britt Baker has been hugely successful in both her career as a wrestler and a dentist too. Here are five facts that you need to know about Britt Baker.
#1 Britt Baker shuffled between her early wrestling days and medical school
It is not easy to chase your dreams for in the early days, you need to find a way first to fuel your dreams. Britt did that with a career in the medical school taking flight while she would also wrestle with her heart and soul. She made her debut in wrestling with International Wrestling Cartel while also attending college at the University of Pittsburgh.
#2 Britt Baker was trained by Jonny Gargano and Candice LaRae
In AIW, Britt Baker was trained by Jonny Gargano and Candice who are also known as Mr. and Mrs. Wrestling. At that point in time, still trying to find his footing in NXT, Gargano would regularly travel with Tommaso Ciampa to attend the tapings of NXT. As the tapings were done, Gargano would then fly back to Cleveland to train Britt and everyone else who were present.
#3 Bayley and Sasha Banks were a huge inspiration for Britt Baker

As Britt trained to be a wrestler, Sasha and Bayley were changing the Women’s landscapes by main-eventing NXT shows, a rare, a very rare feat. No wonder, Baker picked them as her icons and would often fondly talk about them on TV shows and interviews, a notable one being that of Steel City Comic Con.
#4 Britt’s dental career proved to be a bummer as WWE refrained from hiring her
Before AEW arrived, wrestlers would look up to WWE as the solitary big brand of wrestling. In a tryout match alongside Bianca Belair and Lacey Evans, she pulled off a phenomenal display. However, in a discussion with Canyon Ceman who was the head of the talent development at that point in time,
Britt revealed that Ceman said, “’You know, as a father, I have a hard time pulling you from your academic career. You’re going to be a dentist. I want you to finish that.” However, she did finish her dental school and eventually made it big in wrestling as well, though it happened four years later when Tony Khan came calling.
#5 Britt had served as an Enhancement Talent for Nix Jax in 2016
On 25th July’s Monday Night Raw Britt worked as an Enhancement talent for Nia Jax as she took quite a hammering as informed to her by referee John Cone.
In fact in the match she had her nose busted open by Jax. Despite rumours of her being livid with Jax, she herself shut others up before finally getting a run in the 2018 Mae Young Classic Tournament, a year before she officially signed with AEW.
