Yuzvendra Chahal picks CSK as the side he wishes to play for other than RCB

Phase 2 of IPL 2021 is all set to start from 19th September 2021. The United Arab Emirates will host the mega event. Following the bio bubble safety and covid precautions, BCCI decided to shift the remaining matches to a new venue.

The final of the tournament will be played on 15th October. And later on, after few days, the ICC T20 World Cup will occur in the same country.

Royal Challengers Banglore has been the one such side that turned the tables pretty well in Phase 1. With all-around performances from each player, RCB remains at the third position on the points table. The side secured five wins out of 7 games. The side would be hoping to continue their breath-taking form in phase 2 also.

However, the next edition of IPL, which will take place in 2022, will be a tough one for the RCB side. With new retention rules of 4 players, it would be a tough decision to make. A team can either retain 3 Indians and one foreign player or 2 Indians and two foreign cricketers.

Yuzvendra Chahal picks CSK to play for if not RCB

Yuzvendra Chahal was asked which side he would like to play for other than the Bold Army. In the question and answer session with Cricktracker, the spinner picked CSK as the option. He would love to play under MS Dhoni’s leadership.

Chahal has been associated with the RCB side since 2014. With his spin skills, the side would be having an eye to retain him. It would be exciting to see how RCB forms its strategy for the mega auction for IPL 2022.
