WWE WrestleMania XL Predictions: Will The Hardy Boyz Return On The Show?

The Hardy Boyz currently work for AEW, but many fans want them to return to WWE. It is WrestleMania season in WWE right now. Interestingly, the company has announced a ladder match for the tag team championships at the Showcase of Immortals.

The Judgment Day will put their titles on the line against Awesome Truth, #DIY, The New Day and two other tag teams in a six-pack challenge for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. A similar triple threat ladder match was planned for WrestleMania 33 in 2017, where The Hardy Boyz made a shocking return as the fourth team and won the match.

A few days ago, Matt Hardy was spotted in attendance for a Monday night RAW, which further fueled the speculation. Veteran journalist Bill Apter told Sportskeeda the following when asked about the Hardy Boyz making a return to WWE:

“I have a feeling if The Hardys contract is coming up soon that we might even see them in that six-way Ladder match at WrestleMania.”

Here is the reason why The Hardy Boyz may not return at WWE WrestleMania XL

Although many fans want it to happen, Matt and Jeff Hardy might not be able to compete at WrestleMania XL. While Matt’s AEW deal will expire soon, Jeff reportedly still has some time left on his contract. Unless something major happens within the next few days, the chances of Matt and Jeff appearing together in the ladder match at WrestleMania are very low.

Jeff and Matt have had a forgettable run as a tag team in AEW so far. Fans had very high hopes from them when they joined the Tony Khan-owned promotion. However, as the time has passed, their reputation has gone down. Perhaps, they can end their careers on a high if at all they return to WWE at some point of time.
