Indian cricket team have abundant talents available at their disposal and it is up to the selectors or the team management to come up with the right playing XI such that they can produce positive results.
While results were really positive in the bilateral series, their inability to win the big tournaments has been a daunting task for the Indians. In fact, when it comes to marquee events, India haven’t really shown intent to win games.
The last time the Men in Blue won the ICC title was back in 2013. It was under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, India beat England on England soil to win the ICC Champions Trophy and since then, India literally struggle to cope with the pressure while playing in the mega-events.
The last time they came close to winning an ICC title was during the first cycle of the ICC World Test Championship. Needless to say, India surrendered at the hands of New Zealand in the final.
Harbhajan Singh reckons India will be winning a title soon
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh is of the opinion that Team India will be winning a title soon given the number of talents that the Indian cricket team already have in their arsenal.
India have the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and others who have made a case for themselves in international cricket for a long time now.
According to Harbhajan, India have potential match-winners in the team and given the strength and core of the team, India should be winning the title in the near future.
Harbhajan Singh also further questioned that if India is unable to win the title with the help of these talents then when will they make a statement to win the title? India will be looking forward to winning the ICC WTC final and the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023.
