CM Punk could return to WWE, as per recent reports. The Voice of the Voiceless had a disappointing end to his run as an AEW Superstar earlier this week. Punk reportedly got into a real-life backstage fight with ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry during the All In pay-per-view event in London.
Multiple reports have surfaced claiming that Punk put Jack Perry in a submission position and even threatened the AEW owner, Tony Khan. As a result, Khan announced on last week’s episode of Collision that Punk was fired from AEW.
Since CM Punk got fired from AEW, he now has an option of making a much-awaited return to WWE. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer (via Cagesideseats), WWE might pursue Punk now that he is a free agent.
“I can’t say because I can’t get into his (CM Punk) brain, but yes, there was a lot of people (in AEW) that thought ever since that contract was signed with The Young Bucks & (Hangman) Page and everything, that he wanted out and something was gonna happen.“

”Dave Meltzer said on WOR that while WWE didn’t pursue Punk when he was pursuing an AEW buyout ten months ago, they might when he’s a true free agent: ‘You just don’t know. It’s different people in charge. It’s a different time’,” the report said.
Here is the reason why CM Punk must return to WWE
Although there has been no official update from WWE or CM Punk regarding a return in the near future, the former world champion should think of going back to his home. Punk is loved by the entire WWE Universe, and the fans in arenas chanted his name even when he was away from the company for seven years.

Punk has achieved a lot in the world of pro wrestling. It will be wrong if a legend like him has to end his career in a disappointing fashion like the backstage fight in London. Perhaps, WWE can offer Punk a deal which keeps both the parties happy, and it can also result in a grand farewell for the Voice of the Voiceless.
