Road Safety World Series 2021: Indian Legends to play the series opener against Bangladesh Legends on 5th March 2021

The Unacademy Road Safety World Series 2021 is all set to get underway on March 5th 2021. Legendary cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Jonty Rhodes, Brian Lara and Virender Sehwag to name a few are once again all set to take the field and produce a spectacle. 

Six teams such as South Africa Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, Bangladesh Legends, Indian Legends, West Indies Legends and England Legends will participate in the tournament. The Australian Legends, which was part of the inaugural edition of the tournament, will not mark its presence this year. Besides, two new teams have been added in England Legends and Bangladesh Legends.

The inaugural edition of the Unacademy Road Safety World Series 2021 was called off due to the threats caused by Covid-19. The tournament will resume this year with the Indian Legends playing the first game against the Bangladesh Legends on 5th March 2021 Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

As far as the Indian contingent is concerned, Yusuf Pathan and Naman Ojha are a couple of notable additions to the squad. Besides, veterans like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh etc will once again be seen in action.

All the matches of the tournament will be played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
