3 former IPL coaches whom Delhi Capitals must consider as their next Head Coach

Delhi Capitals might also go for an experienced coach to replace Ricky Ponting. There are quite a few options available in this regard. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three former IPL coaches whom Delhi Capitals must consider as their next Head Coach.

1) Mike Hesson

With the core that Delhi has at the moment, Mike Hesson will be the perfect option to take the franchise forward. At RCB, as a Director, he helped the team quailfy for the playoffs on multiple occassions. At PBKS, too, Mike did decently well as a coach.

Mike comes with a lot of tactics and usually has a long-term plan on his mind. This will bode well for the franchise in the longe run.

2) Tom Moody

Tom Moody is one of the former IPL coaches whom Delhi Capitals must consider as their next Head Coach. It is a surprise that after doing so well for SRH, no other team has opted for Moody as a Head Coach. That could be mainly because of his stubborn nature in the position.

However, Delhi might need just that now. They have a strong core and will need someone with exceptional knowledge of the game to make it work. Moody also builds good bowling attacks and Delhi could prosper from that.

3) Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag could be a bold appointment for Delhi Capitals. He could also be a statement signing of intent. It will be risky, as well, because, after his stint with Punjab Kings, Sehwag has not held the role of a Head Coach after that.

Nevertheless, he would fit the profile of what Delhi might desire. They will have someone of great knowledge of Indian cricket and also enjoys a good relationship with Sourav Ganguly. Sehwag, if he gets a chance, will also be desperate to win a trophy.
