Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood get out stumped as first two wickets in the first Test against New Zealand

After a humiliating 3-0 loss against England, Pakistan is currently taking on New Zealand in the first game of the two-match series in Karachi. However, this too has been a disappointing outing for them so far as they have lost wickets in clusters and were tumbling at 115/4 at Lunch on Day 1.

Opting to bat first, they had a horrendous start as they lost four quick wickets. They lost 2 wickets in just 6.1 overs as both were stumped in a Test match. This marked the first instance where the first 2 dismissals were stumping.

Ajaz Patel drew the first blood for me on his side as he removed Abdullah Shafique for just 7 runs. The batter tried to dance down the track and negate the spin but the bowler was clever and dragged the length back to turn the ball away from the opener and send him back in the hut with stumping.

If this was not enough, Shan Masood too got out stumped, but, to Michael Bracewell. The southpaw gave the bowler a pre-meditated charge and steps out for a big drive and the spinner shortens the length and gets the ball to turn away eventually leading to another stumping.
