The Star Sports Network was able to win only the TV rights for IPL. Hence, the Star Sports TV channels will bring the action on the TV. It may also be available in multiple languages. For the traditional TV viewers of IPL, it will not be a big change.

Viacom 18 had bagged the digital rights of IPL in the media rights sale held a few months ago. The Jio Cinema App has already got onboard some popular names to be a part of the broadcast. The application had recently become popular for streaming the FIFA World Cup. In a piece of good news for the fans, the live streaming will be free on the app.

The IPL Auctions will happen on December 23rd. The telecast for the same will start at 2:30 PM IST. With frequent breaks in between, the event will happen late in the evening. The event will happen in Kochi.
