IPL 2020: RCB’s Predicted playing XI

Royal Challengers Bangalore has been the ill-starred team in IPL history. The Bangalore-based franchise has made it to three summit clashes in the league’s 12-year history, but it has failed to capture the trophy even once. Virat Kohli has been the face of the franchise, while AB de Villiers has also played a massive role in the success achieved by RCB.

Talking about their IPL 2020 campaign, Bangalore made some exciting signings in the auction and here is their strongest possible playing XI for the upcoming season.

Openers – Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch

Devdutt Padikkal is coming off an extraordinary season in the domestic circuit. He was the star for Karnataka in their Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy win. He will likely open the innings with the Australian skipper Aaron Finch for RCB in IPL 2020.

Middle Order – Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers (wk), and Gurkeerat Singh Mann

Virat Kohli will bat at the number three position for Bangalore. He is the all-time highest run-getter in IPL history and will be key to RCB’s success. He will have the back of Proteas player AB de Villiers in the middle order. Mr. 360 and Gurkeerat Singh Mann will form the core of the playing XI.

All-rounders – Shivam Dube, Chris Morris, and Washington Sundar

Shivam Dube recently made his international debut and will be the top Indian all-rounder for RCB in IPL 2020. South African star Chris Morris will be his partner in this section, while Washington Sundar will look to make an impact on the spin-friendly pitches in the UAE.

Bowlers – Dale Steyn, Navdeep Saini, and Yuzvendra Chahal

Dale Steyn, the seasoned pro, will lead RCB’s pace bowling attack and India’s newest fast bowling star Navdeep Saini will join forces with him there. RCB’s most successful bowler Yuzvendra Chahal will be the team’s primary spin-bowling option in IPL 2020.
