Towards the end of IPL 2024, Lockie Ferguson did well for RCB. However, the Kiwi may not be a reliable player for the outfit in the future. Therefore, the franchise will have to keep some other targets ready. This will be a key aspect for Andy Flower and his team. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three foreign pacers RCB might target for IPL 2025.
1) Jofra Archer
Jofra Archer is back to his peak fitness. He has been doing well and he might put himself in the next auctions. There would be a lot of teams that would target the cricketer.
Jofra can be a choice for RCB because both Andy Flower and Mo Bobat know the player very well. RCB needs a leader in the fast-bowling department along with Siraj. Considering his age, as well, Jofra would be the right fit for the franchise.
2) Kagiso Rabada (if released by Punjab Kings)
Kagiso Rabada is one of the foreign pacers RCB might target for IPL 2025. Despite the wealth of experience, it needs to be noted that Rabada is still 29 years old. He can very much be a part of the future of a franchise. Hence, he could be a good target for RCB to consider.
He is someone who can bowl in multiple phases of the game. Yes, he could tend to leak runs but that happens to most bowlers now. Rabada is a wicket-taker and RCB will want to rely on these skillsets.
3) Josh Hazlewood
Josh Hazlewood was a part of RCB before the franchise released him. That was because he was not available for the season. Hence, the franchise can target him again.
He would be a signing that will be for the present. Hazlewood is a fine option in multiple phases of the game. Therefore, he would bring a lot of balance to the side.
