A long servant of Bangladesh cricket, the all-rounder announced his retirement from all formats of the game. Qualifying for the Super 8 stage was a decent result for the squad. However, Bangladesh could have done better in the tournament.

Hailing from South Africa, it was a stop-and-start career for him. There was a time when he took a break from professional cricket, as well. However, he made a strong return, playing in the 2023 ODI World Cup and also in the 2024 T20 World Cup. The batter’s absence is a big blow for the Dutch squad.
