MS Dhoni and Sanju Samson are the oldest and youngest captains of IPL 2023

Interestingly, MS Dhoni is the oldest captain of IPL 2023 whereas Sanju Samson is the youngest captain of IPL 2023. MS Dhoni is 41 years old whereas Sanju Samson is 28 years old. MS Dhoni possesses a truckload of leadership experience in his repertoire.

Under his captaincy, Chennai Super Kings have won four IPL titles in the tournament. On the other side of the coin, they have also won two Champions League titles and decorated their trophy cabinet.

Under the tutelage of MS Dhoni, CSK have reached the playoffs on eleven occasions, which is the most by any team. At the same time, CSK are the only team that made it to the finals on nine occasions.

On the other hand, Sanju Samson plies his trade as the captain of the Rajasthan Royals. Under his captaincy, Rajasthan Royals made it to the finals of the competition in the IPL 2022 season.

Unfortunately, they ended up on the losing side as they completely surrendered at the hands of the Gujarat Titans in the epic final showdown. Sanju Samson will be looking forward to doing well as a captain and batsman for Rajasthan Royals in the next season.
