Manchester United Transfer News: Man United allegedly wants to sign Napoli talents Victor Osimhen and Kim Min-jae at the conclusion of the season
Manchester United Transfer News: A double assault on Serie A club Napoli by Premier League giants Manchester United might cost them roughly £143 million at the end of the season, according to a report from Football Insider. They want Kim Min-jae and Victor Osimhen.
During the season as a whole, Victor Osimhen has scored 23 goals, solidifying his place as one of the top attackers in the world. The Nigerian international has led Napoli to first place in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
The Red Devils could really use a striker of his calibre. This season, they’ve relied too much on England’s Marcus Rashford to carry their offence. Rashford is better used as a left winger. The Englishman will be able to operate in his best position next season thanks to the addition of Osimhen.
The Red Devils, however, may need some defensive reinforcements, and Kim Min-jae has become an intriguing option. In July, the 26-year-old South Korean international has a release clause in his contract worth around £43 million.
Manchester United is ready to pay a premium to get the two players in the near future. The estimated price tag for Osimhen is over £100 million. With the release clause in place, Kim may turn out to be a steal.
Will the Red Devils get them?
Napoli will not want to sell off two of its star players in the same transfer window. So they will likely ask for a high price from Manchester United if they decide to make a move. Whether or if the two teams can reach an agreement at this time is still up in the air.
Osimhen has said in the past that playing in the Premier League is his ultimate career goal. And Manchester United’s interest in the player may sway him. The 24-year-old has already established himself as a top player in Italy. He now wants to see how he performs at a higher level.
The prospect of playing in the Premier League and showcasing his skills may be appealing to the up-and-coming striker. In 2023, Manchester United will try to contend for all of the main honours. In order to catch up to teams like Manchester City and Arsenal, they need to strengthen their roster with some new additions.
