“Dasun Shanaka could be a great option” – Twitter reacts as Kyle Jamieson’s replacement will be decided soon after talks with MS Dhoni

The sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League is just around the corner. The IPL carnival will go all guns blazing on March 31 onwards as Gujarat Titans will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings have already suffered a huge setback as Kyle Jamieson is doubtful to feature for the yellow army in the upcoming season of the IPL. During the IPL 2023 mini-auction held in Kochi, New Zealand international was acquired by the Chennai Super Kings for INR 1 crore.

However, the pace bowler’s recurring back injury makes him a doubtful starter for CSK in the next season. The New Zealand cricketer was sidelined with a back injury since June 2022.

In fact, he was actually trying to make a return in the ongoing two-match Test series against the England cricket team. However, he couldn’t make it. Moreover, he will undergo back surgery, which will keep him out of cricketing action for close to 4 months, which means that it is quite obvious he will not play for CSK.

Kyle Jamieson’s replacement will be decided soon after talks with MS Dhoni

Since the New Zealand cricketer will not feature for CSK in the next season, a replacement might be made anytime soon. As per the news agency PTI, the replacement for Kyle Jamieson will be decided soon after talks with MS Dhoni.

Chennai Super Kings failed to do well in the last season of the Indian Premier League as they hardly won games in the league stage. They managed to win only four games but lost the rest of the ten games and as a result, they failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Chennai Super Kings do have a strong team with all their bases covered for the next season. They will be surely making a serious bid for the fifth title, in what will be MS Dhoni’s last season for CSK.
