CSXI vs IND: After a disheartening end to their World Test Championship campaign, India is preparing themselves for their upcoming test tour against England at their home turf.
They’re set to play a practice match against the County Select XI side at the Riverside Ground. In another unfortunate outcome, India will miss out on the likes of Rishabh Pant, who tested positive for COVID-19. With that, wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha is left out as well.
With both of them out of the picture, KL Rahul will keep the gloves in their absence. India had last faced New Zealand in a test match and couldn’t handle the heat of the fast bowlers as they lost the coveted World Test Championship Final by 8 wickets. They’d be hoping to turn things around with the side heading on to this practice encounter.
On the other hand, the County Select XI side will be looking to adhere pressure on the touring Indian team. The side will be led by Warwickshire’s Will Rhodes. They will be accompanied by international players James Bracey and Haseeb Hameed.
