Australia Playing 11 for the first T20I against South Africa Prediction

Australia will be playing three T20Is, which ideally will be a preparation for them for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. They have named a young team with Mitchell Marsh being the captain and it’s fair to say that it seems like a roadmap for the next tournament.

There have been quite a few reports that have suggested that Steve Smith will be opening the batting as the team management is having an eye on him for the T20 World Cup as well. It is expected that he will be opening the innings alongside Smith.

Mitchell Marsh has been Australia’s best batter in a white ball of late and it’s a no-brainer that he will be batting at No.3. The hard-hitting duo of Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis are expected to be in the frey and play crucial role with bat and ball.

Tim David along with wicketkeeper batter Josh Inglis are likely to be given the finishing touches to the team. Australia is expected to have an all-pace attack with Sean Abbot, Nathan Ellis, Spencer Johnson and Jason Behrendroff are expected to the be fast bowlers.
