Arsenal interested in 60m Manchester City star- Reports claim.

Arsenal are claimed to be interested in Manchester City star, Bernardo Silva, as City are open to selling him if they receive an offer of 55-60 m euros. The Portuguese is looking for a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Even though Silva has been successful on the pitch and has gained the love and support of the fans, it hasn’t quite worked out for him off the pitch. Bernardo has been linked to several clubs in the past few months as he is not happy at Manchester City, it is understood that events off the field including the incident surrounding a tweet and Benjamin Mendy. According to The Telegraph, a London-based club, Arsenal, are interested in him.

Other clubs are also interested in Silva

Some reports have also claimed that Bernardo has already received some bids from Italian and Spanish clubs, and that Silva had his eyes set on a transfer move to FC Barcelona. But such a move is now labelled ‘impossible’ presumably because of the financial situation Barca find themselves in right now.

Apart from Barca, their rivals, Atlético Madrid are reportedly keeping an eye on Bernardo too. They too, hold an interest in the player and have been ‘alerted’ about Silva’s availability this summer.

From a Manchester City point of view, they will be looking to sell Bernardo for the right price and they will be hoping to do it quickly. As City need to sell a high-profile forward in order to make space for their main targets this transfer window, Harry Kane and Jack Grealish, and Bernardo is likely the one to depart from the defending champions.

A move to Arsenal looks highly unlikely as of now, but Arsenal will be looking to land the Portuguese to the Emirates as Mikel Arteta looks to rebuild his team for the upcoming season. The player’s previous working relationship with Arteta could play a key role in this transfer saga.

The playmaker has seen his importance drop at City in the previous season, as he played only 26 games last season. Even though he has a contract till 2025, it certainly looks like he no longer wants to stay at the club. And with Arsenal’s interest growing, it will be interesting to see which jersey Bernardo dons the next season.
