The 15th match of the sixteenth edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League totally lived up to the expectations of the fans. The blockbuster clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore took place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a colossal total of 212/2 in their designated quota of 20 overs. RCB captain Faf du Plessis was the pick of the batters as he scored an unbeaten 79 off 46 deliveries.

The experienced campaigner constructed his innings with the help of five fours and five sixes. Virat Kohli scored 61 off 44 balls including 4 fours and 4 sixes whereas Glenn Maxwell scored 59 off 29 balls.

The Australian international constructed the innings with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes. In response, LSG got off to a slow start as they could garner just 37 runs in powerplay overs, losing three wickets inside five overs.

Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran up the ante in the run-chase as LSG beat RCB by 1 wicket

When LSG were under immense pressure, Marcus Stoinis helped LSG elevate the scoreboard by smashing 65 off 30 deliveries including six fours and five hits over the fence.

After Marcus Stoinis’ departure, Nicholas Pooran set the tone by constructing his innings with brute force. He scored 62 off 19 balls with the help of four boundaries and seven hits over the fence.

There was unreal drama in the end as LSG kept losing wickets. However, they somehow got over the finishing line in a last-ball thriller as they won the game by 1 wicket.
