India: We are in the World Cup year and the excitement is only getting high as each day is passing by. The much anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is around three months away from now. The cricket extravaganza will be played from 5th October and the final of the event is all set to take place on 19th November. A total of 48 matches will take place and 10 teams will fight for the title.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: India Playing 11 for the World Cup Prediction
India will be one of the favourites going into the ICC World Cup 2023. The particular reason behind this is that the event will take place in their home and they’ll have a great chance to end their ICC title drought. The Men in Blue last won the ICC trophy in 2013 and since then all they have faced is heartbreak. But this time around it’ll be a great opportunity for them to win.
Coming to the playing 11, there’s no brainer that skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will open the innings for India in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The duo since the start of the ODIs this year has been terrific as they have been scoring runs staggeringly well at the top and have been providing their team with solid starts.
Virat Kohli no doubt will be batting at No.3 but the question remains who will be there for them at No.4. Shreyas Iyer, who has been India’s best batter in ODIs will be there at No.4. He has been out of the action for a while now but has started batting in the nets.
India since the last few years has played KL Rahul as a keeper in the team. It’s fair to say that he has done a remarkable job and with the way he has approached the role he will be there as a keeper in the team at No.5 Hardik Pandya, who is the vice-captain, is expected to play a crucial role with Ravindra Jadeja in the team with both bat as well as the ball at No.6 and No.7 respectively.
Kuldeep Yadav is likely to support Jadeja in the spin department. Whereas it is expected that India will have Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj in the pace bowling department.
