The number of ODIs being played has reduced these days. Usually, a player is expected to get a long rope in any format. However, it is unfortunate that some players had to do with just 1 game to their names. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of six Indians who played 1 ODI after 2020 and were then dropped from the team.
1) Rahul Chahar
Rahul Chahar played quite a few T20Is for Team India. However, with Yuzvendra Chahal holding a spot in ODIs, Rahul could just play one ODI. He never got to feature for Team India in the 50-over format after that.
2) K Gowtham
K Gowtham is one of the Indians who played 1 ODI after 2020 and were then dropped from the team. He was one of the surprise selections when India toured Sri Lanka. The Karnataka all-rounder played one game and was dropped after that.
3) Chetan Sakariya
After his strong show for Rajasthan Royals in the UAE, Chetan earned a spot in the Indian Team. However, barring this series, he did not get an opportunity again. At IPL, as well, he is struggling for games now.
4) Nitish Rana
Nitish Rana is also one of the Indians who played 1 ODI after 2020 and were then dropped from the team. He was also a part of that Sri Lanka Tour. With Gautam Gambhir at the helm, Nitish Rana should be confident of making a comeback.
5) Ravi Bishnoi
He still has a chance but at the moment, it looks like Ravi is restricted to the T20 format. The likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar will be preferred more for the 50-over format.
6) Kuldeep Sen
Kuldeep Sen is also one of the Indians who played 1 ODI after 2020 and were then dropped from the team. A player with high expectations, Kuldeep got just one chance to show his skills. In the future, he definitely deserves more chances.
