1. Tatenda Taibu

Zimbabwe batter Tatenda Taibu was the first player from Zimbabwe to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The batter was one of the mainstays for his national team and scored a great number of runs in all three formats of the game. He made his debut in the IPL after he was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders in the inaugural edition of the league for INR 50 lakhs. He played three games in the league and scored 31 runs at a strike rate of 119.23.

2. Ray Price 

Left-arm spinner Ray Price was the second player from Zimbabwe to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was part of the Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2011. He played just one game in the league and failed to make the mark. He went wicketless, conceding 33 runs in 4 overs. He was picked for 23 lakhs by the team and after that season he was released from the team.

3. Sikander Raza 

Sikander Raza became the third player from Zimbabwe to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was acquired by the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2023 auction for his base price of INR 50 lakhs. He was bagged by the team he proved his prowess in the T20 World Cup 2022, where he scored 219 runs to his name at a strike rate of 147.97. He also picked up 10 wickets with a decent economy of 6.50.
