3 players who should have received bigger contracts at PKL Auction 2021

The 2021 PKL Auction happened from August 29 to 31 in Mumbai. Kabaddi fans from across the world were excited to see what would happen at the auction. The likes of Pardeep Narwal, Siddharth Desai and Sachin Tanwar received big contracts as expected.

However, there were a few big names of the kabaddi world who were surprisingly underpaid at the PKL Auction 2021. These players have been among the most expensive players in PKL Auction in the past. Many fans expected the following three stars to receive bigger contracts at the auction.

1. Rishank Devadiga, Bought by Bengal Warriors at PKL Auction for INR 20 lakh

Former UP Yoddha captain Rishank Devadiga is among the most successful raiders in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League. Rishank has the capability to turn the match in a matter of a few minutes. He also has the leadership skills.

Thus, the kabaddi universe expected him to earn big at PKL Auction. But, surprisingly, the star raider went for his base price of INR 20 lakh only. The defending champions of PKL, Bengal Warriors acquired Rishank’s services.

2. Manjeet Chhillar, Bought by Dabang Delhi KC for INR 20 lakh

Another star performer of the Pro Kabaddi League who was sold at his base price was Manjeet Chhillar. The former Bengaluru Bulls skipper will now represent Dabang Delhi KC in the next season of the PKL.

Chhillar has scored 563 points in the league’s history. The all-rounder has aggregated more than 200 raid points and more than 300 tackle points. It was a surprise to see him receive a contract worth INR 20 lakh only.
