1) Jake Fraser-McGurk

The talented youngster was in the fray to replace David Warner at the top for the Aussies in the white-ball formats.

However, that has happened so far. His form is the main reason. Matthew Short provides more solidity in this regard.

2) Sean Abbott is unlucky to not be in Australia’s ICC 2025 Champions Trophy squad
