IPL 2023 auction saw as many as 80 players getting sold to 10 teams. Out of which 51 were Indians whereas 29 were overseas players. Apart from Pakistan players, almost players from every nation registered their names. The players from the neighbouring nations are not allowed to play in the tournament due to political reasons. However, still, there will be three players from Pakistan who will play in the upcoming edition of the league. Sikander Raza 

Zimbabwe cricketer Sikander Raza, who hails from Sialkot city, Pakistan, was brought by Punjab Kings in the IPL 2023 for his base price of 50 lakhs. This will be his maiden IPL outing and it is expected that he will a big role for the team both with the bat as well as the ball. He proved his prowess in the T20 World Cup 2022, where he scored 219 runs to his name at a strike rate of 147.97. He also picked up 10 wickets with a decent economy of 6.50. Overall in T20 cricket, Raza has amassed 3,109 runs at a strike rate of 129.81 to go with 19 T20 fifties. With the ball, he has 79 wickets at an economy rate of 7.34 with the best bowling figures of 4/8.

Mooen Ali 

Pakistan origin, Moeen Ali has been part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) since IPL 2021. The all-rounder played a pivotal role for the franchise and displayed staggering performances with both bat as well as the ball. Based on his mettle and contribution to the team, he was retained by the team ahead of the IPL 2023 auction. Ali has been exceptional with the bat in the league, scoring 910 runs in 44 games at a strike rate of 143.99. He’s expected to play a vital role in the upcoming season as well.

Adil Rashid 

Moeen Ali’s English teammate Adil Rashid, who is from Pakistan, has finally managed to attract bidders after going unsold for many seasons. He was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad at his base price of ₹2 crores in the IPL 2023 auction. The leg-spinner has been one of the finest players going around in World cricket. He was exceptional with the ball for England in the T20 World Cup 2022 which helped his side to win the event. He’s expected to lead the spin department in the IPL 2023 for SRH.
