3 foreigners Andy Flower might target in the trade window for RCB

Andy Flower will be the Head Coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore from IPL 2024. A serial trophy winner, his experience will be of great use to RCB, a franchise that is still searching for its first trophy. Flower has a solid cricketing philosophy and he might target some players in line with this. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three foreigners Andy Flower might target in the trade window for RCB for IPL 2024.

1) Rovman Powell

The situation of Rovman Powell at Delhi Capitals is not that great. The return of Rishabh Pant could improve it but the franchise will be better off by signing a good all-rounder for this overseas spot.

RCB is one franchise that lacks raw brute batting force in the lower middle-order. Dinesh Karthik has got the range but his form is not impressive. Especially at Chinnaswamy, players with raw power is necessary. Hence, RCB could target Rovman Powell from DC.

2) Rilee Rossouw

Rilee Rossouw is one of the foreigners Andy Flower might target in the trade window for RCB for IPL 2024. Last season, RCB struggled when they needed to find a third overseas batter. The likes of Michael Bracewell failed in this regard.

A player at Multan Sultans, Andy Flower knows Rilee Rossouw very well. He would be a perfect addition to the RCB line-up. The franchise needs a proper left-hander in the middle order and also a genuine backup for Glenn Maxwell in the batting department. Hence, Rossouw would be the right choice.

3) Romario Shepherd

Romario Shepherd fits the kind of profile that Andy Flower usually employs in his T20 squads. The West Indian all-rounder might be a risk at the Chinnaswamy Stadium but it is worth taking.

The player’s raw pace with the ball and raw power with the bat are two attributes that RCB lacks at the moment. Hence, Shepherd, who is currently at LSG, will be a decent pick for RCB.
