Indian Cricket Team have been under the firing line for quite some time now. The team has been going through a really bad patch. The year 2022 has seen many heartbreaks for them and to worsen the case more they suffered a disappointing series loss against Bangladesh, which has given room to a fair amount of criticism.
2 Players that might get dropped for the next ODI series from the current Indian team
With Cricket World Cup 2023 around the corner, India might take some harsh decisions going into the next series. It’s fair to say that they should take some calls and manage the players equally well so that they remain fresh and perform. As the ODI series in Bangladesh concludes, we take look at 2 Players that might get dropped for the next ODI series from the current Indian team
Shikhar Dhawan
Senior Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan is under the firing line for his consistent failures batting at the top of the order of late. Not only the runs have dried up for him but also he’s playing with a poor strike rate. The series against Bangladesh was dreadful for him as failed in all three games. He has been poor in the format this year as well as in 22 ODIs he has 688 runs at an avg of 34.4 and an SR of 74.21 with a dot ball percentage of 60. Also with Shubman Gill on the bench and Ishan Kishan
Shikhar Dhawan in ODIs this year

Shardul Thakur
Another Indian player who might get dropped for the next ODI series from the current Indian team is Shardul Thakur. The Mumbaikar of late too has struggled to get his line and length correct and has been leaking runs as well. He was taken to cleaners in the series against New Zealand and hasn’t been impressive in the ODIs against Bangladesh as well. Also of late, he was given nod ahead of other pacers because of his batting prowess but he failed to score runs as well, which could lead to omission from the side. With the kind of competition in the pace bowling department, it is very likely he could not find himself in the Indian squad for other series.
