2 England Players who failed in the Major League Cricket 2023

Quite a few English players were part of the inaugural edition of the Major League Cricket. While some set the stage on fire few failed to make an impact. In this piece, we take a look at 2 England Players who failed in the Major League Cricket 2023

Jason Roy

Jason Roy is one of the two England players who failed in the Major League Cricket 2023. The English opener who played for Los Angeles Knight Riders struggled with his form in the tournament and failed to get going. Just like the team’s season his performances were up to the mark and was one of the main reason behind his side. In the three games that he played, he scored just 54 runs at an average of 18 and a strike rate of 150. Coming into the season there were a lot of expectations from him but he didn’t live up to that.

Liam Plunkett

Liam Plunkett is another player from England who had a dismal outing in the Major League Cricket 2023. The pace bowling all-rounder who played an instrumental role in England’s 2019 World Cup winning triumph didn’t make the kind of impact he would’ve wanted with both bat and ball. He played 5 games and managed just 7 wickets at a high average of just below 20. He also had a high economy rate of 8. With the bat, he managed just 9 runs in 3 innings that he batted.
