2 changes RCB could make for their next game against Punjab Kings

Royal Challengers Bangalore yet again failed to defeat Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk. This time around, it was more the bowlers who faltered. Although the top-order did not step up, the likes of Anuj Rawat helped RCB finish the first innings strongly. However, the bowlers could not defend a score which they should have defended at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The team’s next game will be against the Punjab Kings on Monday in Bengaluru. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes RCB could make for their next game against the Punjab Kings.

1) Lockie Ferguson for Alzarri Joseph

Actually, CSK bowlers such as Deepak Chahar made good use fo the bouncer rule. However, RCB, who were expected to make better use of it, failed in their task. Especially Alzarri Joseph was poor because he could not deliver a good length consistently.

Lockie Ferguson is on the bench and he is a more experienced player. Moreover, in the recent games for New Zealand, he did well. Therefore, the Kiwi could come in to the playing XI for the next match.

2) Himanshu Sharma for Karn Sharma

Himanshu Sharma for Karn Sharma is one of the changes RCB could make for their next game against the Punjab Kings. As expected, RCB struggled in the spin department. Karn Sharma could have done well in Chennai but in the two overs he bowled, he did not look threatening. On the other hand, Mayank Dagar had a decent outing.

Hence, for the next game, RCB could already make the decision to drop Karn. Himanshu Sharma is a youngster who is available in the side. He might also struggle but at least RCB would benefit if Himanshu comes good in the coming matches. Hence, this change could also happen.
