Finn Balor has emerged to be one of the most captivating WWE Superstars from the current crop of athletes, adapting and evolving at various stages of his WWE career.
After a successful beginning in NXT from 2014-2016, Finn was called up to the main roster and made history by becoming the first-ever WWE Universal Champion at WWE SummerSlam 2016. The later stages of his career have seen him be involved in high-profile matches, title runs, and the second run in NXT to carve out the Prince gimmick riding the wave of success and further reinventing himself as a demonic and errie member of the terrorizing faction, The Judgment Day.

Speaking of that, another crucial element associated with Finn Balor in the WWE is his alter-ego demon persona seen making his awe-inspiring presence on various occasions both in NXT and on the main roster. Until now only two Superstars have been able to put down The Demon in a one-on-one encounter, former WWE Superstar Samoa Joe and the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

Interestingly, it was against The Tribal Chief last year at Extreme Rules 2021 that The Demon King Finn Balor was last seen, suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of Reigns and disappearing from the WWE programming, not making any appearances. Former WWE official Road Dogg Jesse James spoke on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s The Wrestling Outlaws on the subject pointing out WWE’s resistance to bringing the iconic gimmick mentioning various booking speedbumps with the character:
“Look, I think one of the problems that arose is, can you beat The Demon? I think there are booking speedbumps in The Demon. If he’s always The Demon, ‘can he lose’ is a legitimate question. And I guess he can if he’s not supernatural. I think like Undertaker lost; it was horrible,”
Balor is currently leading the charge on Monday Night RAW as a member of the destructive group, Judgment Day alongside stable mates Damien Priest, Rhea Ripley, and the newest addition Dominik Mysterio. It can be interesting to watch if Finn resurrects the Demon King for a one-off appearance, while still as a member of the faction in the future to take the terrorizing mind games to demonic heights.
