WWE Extreme Rules is just 3 weeks away where for the one night of the year, everything goes extreme with no law to control the animosity building between WWE Superstars. The event will take place on October 8 taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event will also be the first to be held in the month of October on a Saturday instead of the traditional WWE pay-per-view day of Sunday.
So far, we have one match made official pitting the current Smackdown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan against The Baddest Woman on the Planet Ronda Rousey for the title in an Extreme Rules match.
As the pay-per-view rapidly approaches D-Day, here are four surprises we can expect on this week’s edition on Monday Night RAW:
1. Bayley vs Bianca Belair announced with a twist
This would have been an epic match…

The weeks of feuding and encounters are clearly pointing towards a Bayley vs Bianca Belair match for the RAW Women’s championship at WWE Extreme Rules. Their rivalry didn’t see a decisive ending back in 2021, after Bayley went out with an injury that took 9 months off her career.
The Leader of Damage CTRL and the EST of WWE could finally clash with a different stipulation this time like Steel Cage or perhaps an Extreme Rules to see who comes out on top with the stakes higher than ever.
2. Austin Theory vs Owens for the WWE Money in the Bank
The Prizefighter Kevin Owens has been on a hot streak ever since going back to his roots, also picking up a win over the young and talented Mr. Money in the Bank Austin Theory two weeks ago on RAW.
They are slated to compete in a rematch on this week’s edition which could see Theory picking up the win this time with both men having a victory over each other. This could set up the final match in this trilogy with Owens challenging Theory at Extreme Rules raising the stakes by convincing the Blue-Chip Superstar to put his MITB briefcase opportunity up for grabs.
3. Dominik looks to end his Father’s legacy in WWE

Everything changed for the young upstart Dominik Mysterio ever since he betrayed his father Rey Mysterio and Edge at WWE Clash at the Castle to join the destructive faction, Judgment Day.
With Finn Balor and Damian Priest by his side and Rhea Ripley acting as his unofficial Papi, Mysterio Jr. could look to break way from his father’s shadow and challenge him to a one-on-one match at WWE Extreme Rules.
4. The Drip Go(l)d
Last week, Seth Rollins stomped his arch-nemesis Matt Riddle in the middle of the ring signaling the end of their feud and looking to shift his focus on capturing championship gold, after rightly noting that it has been far too long since he held a title in the WWE.
The claim was escalated further during a backstage confrontation with current WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley, afterwards the match made official for the title. Rollins could finally end the title drought this week, despite Riddle looking in the shadows and defeat Bobby Lashley to win his second United States Title.
