John Cena will make his much-awaited return to WWE on the final episode of SmackDown in 2022. The Leader of Cenation has made only one appearance for WWE in 2022. It came on his 20th anniversary as a WWE Superstar. The entire locker room paid respect to him as he made his way to the ring and cut a promo.
Not many fans expected Cena to make another appearance for WWE in the year 2022. However, Variety first reported that the 16-time WWE Champion will return on December 30.
Fans are making many predictions about what Cena could probably do on the SmackDown episode. In this article now, we will list down the two things which John Cena can do.

Cena has not wrestled at the last two WrestleMania events. His last WrestleMania match was against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36. With WrestleMania 39 taking place in Hollywood, Cena may want to associate himself with the event.
WWE planted the seeds for a showdown between Austin Theory and Cena when the latter returned to RAW to celebrate his 20th anniversary as a Superstar. It seemed like they would have a match at SummerSlam, but the same did not happen.
Cena and Theory could have their match at next year’s WrestleMania, and WWE can start the slow build for that match at SmackDown.
2. Cena announces himself as an entrant in Royal Rumble 2023

Royal Rumble 2023 is the next big premium live event of WWE. The company would like to have as many as legends as possible in the main event match. As per reports, the number of Superstars for next year’s Royal Rumble could be 40.
Royal Rumble legend Kofi Kingston has announced his entry into the match, and Cena could join him. While Cena may not win the Rumble, he could have a confrontation with someone like Austin Theory or Gunther to set up a WrestleMania 39 match.
